Olathe Historical Photo Collection
Reproduction Requests:
The Olathe Public Library owns a collection of over 2000 photographs of historic interest. These photographs can be viewed at JoCoHistory.org along with those of other institutions in Johnson County. Photographic reproductions from the Olathe Public Library's collection are available in digital form and delivered via e-mail. If a high-resolution version is needed an online file sharing service may be utilized and a small fee may be required. Payments must be made before photos are uploaded. There is no fee for low-resolution images that can be delivered via e-mail.
Request for digital photo reproductions may be made via Rosemary Kasten, rkasten@olathelibrary.org. Please indicate the number of the photograph, the title, the proposed use, and whether high or low resolution is desired. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery.
Any use of the photographs must give the Olathe Public Library credit with text such as "Photo courtesy of the Olathe Public Library." Duplication of the photographs does not transfer ownership of either copyright or property.
The photograph(s) must be used only once unless special permission is granted. The photograph(s) must be used only for the purpose stated in the original request.
The library reserves the right to refuse to make reproductions in cases that might violate copyright. The library reserves the right to change its pricing structure at any time.
Digitization of the Olathe Public Library Historical Photo Collection was made possible by grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Johnson County Heritage Trust Fund.
