Computer Access and WiFi FAQs
Do you have a scanner I can use?
Yes! We have scanners at both libraries. You can print or email scans as needed. Specialized scanners are available for photo restoration at Olathe Downtown.
Can I use a computer at the library to get on the Internet or type a document?
Yes! Public computers are available at both libraries. Computers have Internet access and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access).
Does the library have WiFi?
Yes! There is no password necessary but you must type “agree”to the user agreement on the welcome page.
How much does it cost to print?
Prints are 15 cents a page single-sided or 30 cents for double-sided. Color prints are 50 cents a page single-sided or $1 for double-sided. Cash cards (available at the Information Desk), debit cards and credit cards are accepted.
Do you have a copier?
Yes! Black and white copies are 15 cents a page for single-sided and 30 cents for double-sided. Color copies are 50 cents for single-sided and $1 for double-sided. You can use cash to purchase a copy card at the Information Desk or use your credit or debit card on the machine.
Can I print from my laptop or mobile device?
Yes! To print from a laptop or mobile device attach the document to an email and send it to Print@Printme.com. You will receive a code to enter into the PrintMe station to retrieve your print job. You can also send documents to PrintMe remotely by email or through the PrintMe website.
Can I print from the Cloud?
Yes! The library uses PrintMe for all print jobs. With PrintMe you can sign-in to your Cloud Account (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or Box) on the PrintMe machine and select files to be added to your print job. Publisher, Excel and CVS files will need to be formatted as PDFs.
Can I send a fax at the library?
Yes! Fax machines are self-service and are owned by Fax Scan 24. The first page is $1.75 and $1.00 for each additional page. You can use cash to purchase a fax card at the Information Desk or use your credit or debit card on the machine.
