Our customers spoke and we listened! Instead of closing on August 18 as originally planned, we’ve extended operations at the temporary Indian Creek Library as the transition to the permanent location (16100 W. 135th St.) begins this month.
The Indian Creek Library temporary space will operate with limited services and reduced hours beginning Monday, Aug. 19. From Monday, Aug. 19 to Sunday, Sept. 8 the Indian Creek Library's services will be limited to checking out and returning materials, and picking up holds.
Reduced hours starting Monday, August 19 will be:
Monday-Thursday: 9 am to 7 pm
Friday: 9 am to 6 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm
Sunday: 1 to 5 pm
Monday, Aug. 26 will be the last day to select Indian Creek Library as a holds pick up location. Any holds that are left or come in after Sunday, Sept. 8, will be transferred to the Olathe Downtown Library or a Johnson County Library location of your choice. (Call or modify in your account online.)
A return box will remain available at the temporary location until the box at the new Indian Creek Library is ready. A return box is also located across the street from the temporary location in the Crossroads Shopping Center at Santa Fe and Mur-Len (in front of Payless Foods).
In addition, the Olathe Downtown Library's Makerspace will be closed Monday, Aug. 19 through Sunday, Sept. 22 to prepare the Indian Creek Library's Makerspace equipment.
