LEGO Design Contest

The Olathe Public Library held its 8th annual LEGO Design Contest on Saturday, July 6 at the Downtown Library.  Contestants from grades 1st through 12th brought their original creations to the library.  Members of the KC Brick Lab LEGO Users Group served as our judges, and they had their work cut out for them in selecting the winners.  There were many creative and innovative entries.  The public also got to vote on their contest favorites for our “Best of Show” awards.

Below are the winners of this year’s contest:

1st – 2nd grade

Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who entered the contest!  Don’t forget, our monthly Evening LEGO Club for kids starts up again in September at the Downtown Library.  We’ll also be offering some Family LEGO Drop-In programs this fall at the new Indian Creek Library.  Watch for details in our upcoming Fall Catalog of Events.
