Indian Creek Update, June 10

Looking Up!

Indian Creek ceiling tiles

The ceiling at the new Indian Creek Library will be a wonderful confluence of aesthetics and functionality. Aesthetically, the ceiling will mimic the design of the exterior sunshade. Anodized aluminum tiles will float high above, providing an airy and stylistic disguise for the underbelly of the original roof deck.  Functionally, these tiles will aid in sound deflection and act as a subliminal guide to customers, leading them to areas like the Café, teen area (including The Zone gaming room), The Studio (recording studio), quiet reading room, interior courtyard with fireplace, and the children’s program room and play areas.

This week we are seeing progress on the front parking lot area with the curbing going in today.  Hopefully, the rain holds off long enough for asphalt installation to quickly follow.
