Construction focus will be placed on the Indian Creek Library parking lot over the next two weeks. Last week, workers removed all remaining asphalt, roughed-in the underground electrical and sprinkler system, and completed the aggregate base for the new parking lot. This week, if the weather cooperates, island and perimeter curbing will be poured. The asphalt base is scheduled for installation the week of May 6th, with the final layer to be completed just prior to moving in to the new building. The goal of the new lot is to enhance the park-like atmosphere of the new Indian Creek library by including more trees and greenery within the lot itself.
Installation of the exterior siding on the north side of the building and the children’s reading garden is complete. Attention will now turn to the front (west) face, where siding will be installed on the south end.
Crews continue with wall framing, electrical and plumbing rough-in, and sheetrock installation.
