Indian Creek Update, March 4, 2019
Framing has begun
During the past week, continued progress was made with the installation of glass in the front curtain wall. Additionally, the flooring for the four-person and eight-person study/meeting rooms has been poured and cured and framing of the metal stud walls has now begun. Other areas blocked and framed include the event space catering kitchen, technology storage rooms and other back-of-house staff areas. Over the past two weeks, a concrete acoustical ceiling for the materials handling room and recording studio has been poured and cured with all temporary supports now removed. The hardened ceiling will allow the materials handling room to double as a FEMA rated shelter should the library experience a tornadic event or some other disaster. The safety of customers and staff is very important.
