Indian Creek Update, February 18, 2019
Mother Nature is not cooperating
Will the snow ever stop? The weather continues to make it a challenge to establish consistent progress on the Indian Creek project but crews are striving to make headway. Approximately 50% of the roof has been installed and crews continue to work on the installation of framing for the glass curtain wall, along the front (west) end of the building and around the northwest corner. As you drive by or watch construction on the library’s website, you can see the building begin to take shape.
Important activities last week included reviewing possible new Indian Creek Library park concept designs to be located on the north side of the library, a review of the audio/visual technology package for the entire building and continued fine-tuning of the technology for the lab (makerspace), the zone (teen gaming), and the studio (sound/video recording studio). Library staff also spent a significant amount of time planning for the operation of our new event space.
