Hey Olathe teens, looking for something fun to do after school?

Join other teens in the large meeting room at Indian Creek Branch Library to play on our Nintendo Wii, Play Station 2, or use a laptop with internet access to play Runescape, check your MySpace/Facebook account, or work on school work.  Occasionally, new releases of movies that are rated G-PG13 will be shown.  More information regarding films being shown will be posted on the teen website, teen blog, and in the lobby of Indian Creek Branch Library on the day of the showing.  Gaming and laptops will be available every time!  You may also just come in to unwind, talk to friends, eat a snack, or work on school assignments.  A librarian will be present to answer homework questions.  This program is designed to be educational, creative, entertaining, and it’s FREE!  Snacks provided.  No registration required. See you there!  Program is open to 7-12th graders only.

Monday, February 15 - 5:30-7:00pm

Olathe Public Library’s Teen Library Club (TLC) is an opportunity for tweens and teens to volunteer to assist and support library services for young adults.  Members plan and promote exciting programs, participate in special community service projects, attend special outings, assist with teen page and blog and discuss books, music movies and web sites!  TLC is open to tweens and teens in grades 5th-12th grade only.  An interest in serving others in the community and in participating in the meetings regularly is helpful.  Potential TLC members fill out a simple registration form at their first meeting.  Membership looks good on resumes and college applications.  TLC members also receive volunteer hours.  Refreshments are served at every meeting. No registeration required. Questions, call 913-971-6888. Event is free.
