Storytime Schedule
January 22 - April 25
The Olathe Public Library offers storytime sessions for preschoolers, 3-5 years of age, at both the Main Library and at the Indian Creek Branch. Winter/spring storytimes will begin on January 22 and run through April 25. Registration will begin on Monday, January 7. Children may be registered in person at either library or by telephone at (913) 971-6874. Please note that enrollment in each of the sessions will be limited. Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Storytimes for 3 year olds last about 20-25 minutes; storytimes for 4 and 5 year olds last about 35-40 minutes; and storytimes for 3, 4 & 5 year olds last 30 minutes.
The library also offers a Family Storytime on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at the Indian Creek Branch. The stories will be geared to 3, 4 & 5 year olds, but all are welcome. Evening storytimes last about 30 minutes. No registration is required for the evening storytimes. NOTE: Evening storytimes will feature the same books used in the 3, 4 & 5 year old daytime sessions.
NOTE: There will be no storytimes the week of spring break: March 18 - 22.
If you are registering more than four children for a session, please call the library to inquire about our special daycare group storytimes.
