Rhyme Time ScheduleWinter 2013January 21 - April 24 |
Rhyme Time is a language-enrichment program for children aged 12 to 24 months. The rhymes, songs, and fingerplays selected will introduce your child to the sound and rhythm of words and to a few simple concepts such as physical features and counting. They may also help develop listening skills, a good foundation for both family storytime and preschool. Rhyme Time is designed to provide parents and caregivers a repertoire of materials to use at home with their children.
Each child must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver (one-on-one required). Sessions are held on Mondays at 10:15 and 11:00 a.m. at the Indian Creek Branch (11:00 is a repeat of the 10:15 program) and on Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. at the Main Library. The winter session will run from January 21 through April 24. Rhyme Time lasts about 20-25 minutes. No registration is necessary, but space will be limited to 15 pairs each session.
NOTE: There will be no Rhyme Time during the week of spring break, March 18 - 22.
Please be aware that this is not a traditional storytime.
