Newbery Award Winners - This award is given each year to the author of the most distinguished American children's book.
 
 Caldecott Award Winners - This award is given each year to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book.

Coretta Scott King Award Winners
- This award is given each year to African American authors and illustrators for outstanding contributions to children's and young adult literature that promote understanding and appreciation of the culture and contribution of all people to the realization of the American Dream.
 

Bill Martin Jr. Picture Book Award Winners
- This award serves to honor internationally renowned Kansas author Bill Martin, Jr., as well as commend outstanding authors/illustrators. It also promotes in young children an appreciation for literature and encourages involvement in promoting quality picture books.
