Library Policies: Disclaimer on Damaged Customer Equipment

Summary
This regulation states that the Olathe Public Library is not financially responsible for any damage to patron's equipment resulting from the use of audiovisual materials checked out from the Olathe Public Library.
Policy
The Olathe Public Library shall bear no financial responsibility nor in any way be held legally liable for any claim for damages arising out of the use by patrons of audiovisual materials (including but not limited to videotapes, audiocassettes, and compact discs). Patrons use these materials at their own risk of damage to their equipment. The library assumes no responsibility for the condition of audiovisual materials.
The Library shall place a disclaimer label on each individual item. Signs will also be displayed at the circulation desk, as well as throughout the Library.
