Borrowing Privileges
General Information
Library cards are FREE. Bring an ID with current address. Children under 16 must bring a parent/guardian to get a card. Replacement cards are $2.00. Your library card is required to check out materials and may also be used at all Johnson County Library locations.
Customers are responsible for promptly paying charges incurred on their accounts. Customers with an account balance of $25.00 or more will forfeit their right to borrow materials until the balance falls below $25.00.
Materials Recovery Policy
Each customer account is sent to the materials recovery service and a $10 service fee is added to the account when it has one of the following:
- At least $25 in fines, fees and materials more than 55 days overdue
- Or fines and fees of $25 or more unpaid for at least 55 days
All accounts sent to materials recovery service will be banned from further library usage until the balance has been paid in full.
